Cautions

Not for use during acute viral infections.

Not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy or for women prone to spontaneous abortion.

Case reports indicate it may interact with anti-coagulants including Warfarin (Mediherb 2013).

While used to nourish the blood, it is not recommended for women with heavy menses.
